Before making a reservation at Wonder Home Apartments, please read and accept these Regulations. These Regulations are consistent with the provisions of art. 8.1. point 1 of the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2016, item 1030, as amended).
§1. [Introduction]
- Wonder Home Apartments conduct their business with respect for human rights and in particular with particular sensitivity to the rights of children who are at risk of harm.
- Wonder Home Apartments recognize their role in running a responsible business and promoting correct social attitudes.
- Wonder Home Apartments recognize and recognise their obligation to report to law enforcement agencies any case of suspected crimes against children and undertake to train their staff in this regard.
- Wonder Home Apartments are committed to educating staff on how to recognize circumstances indicating possible harm to a child staying on the premises and on how to immediately respond to such situations.
- One of the important elements of preventing child abuse is identifying the child staying in the facility and his or her relationship with the adult with whom he or she is staying.
- The Wonder Home Apartments Reception Staff does not have information about the persons invited to the Apartment by the main Booking Guest, who is the only one to complete all formalities related to the reservation.
- Wonder Home Apartments are not authorized to check the identity of persons accompanying the main Booking Guest or to collect personal data of persons additionally staying there during their stay.
- However, this does not diminish the rights related to the identification of the child and his or her relationship with an adult, provided that during the registration activities at the reception desk, contact with a person with the status of a child occurs.
- In other cases, especially in the case of Online Check-in, Wonder Home Reception Staff does not perform any control activities in the Apartments.
- With the well-being of children in mind, we ask Wonder Home Guests that if they are traveling with persons under 18 years of age who are not their children or persons for whom Guests have legal guardianship, they should have written authorization from their legal guardian to travel and stay overnight together.
- The staff of Wonder Home Apartments has no legal possibility to refuse to provide services to Guests who do not have appropriate authorization from a legal guardian to travel with their child, however, in the event of any suspicions regarding the safety of the child, the Police and government administration bodies responsible for protecting the safety of people and maintaining public safety and order will be notified.

§3. [Procedure in the event of suspicion of child abuse]
- Wonder Home Reception Staff, whenever possible, take steps to identify the child and his or her relationship with the adult with whom he or she stays in the facility.
- In situations indicating a possible risk of harm to a child, its identification is absolutely required.
- In particular, behaviours that raise concerns about a child’s safety include:
- the main Booking Guest does not want to provide a document confirming his or her identity or that of his or her child,
- the main Booking Guest makes the payment in cash or with a prepaid card, paying for the stay for each day separately, indicating lack of knowledge about the planned length of stay,
- the main Booking Guest arrives at the property with a child, although the booking details did not include an additional person;
- In order to identify the child and their relationship with the adult with whom they are staying in the facility, the Reception Staff of the Wonder Home Apartments is entitled to ask the main Guest who made the reservation about the child's identity and their relationship with the person with whom they arrived at the facility or are staying there. It is possible to ask for the child's identity document or another document confirming that the adult has the right to take care of the child.
- In the absence of an identity document, the Wonder Home Apartments Reception Staff is entitled to ask for the child’s data (name, surname, address, PESEL number).
- In the absence of documents indicating the relationship between the child and the adult, the Reception Staff of Wonder Home Apartments is entitled to ask about this relationship both the adult and the child.
- If the main Booking Guest and another adult staying with them are not the child's parent or legal guardian, the Wonder Home Apartments Reception Staff are entitled to ask whether they have a document proving the parents' consent to the joint travel of the adult with the child (e.g. a written statement).
- In the absence of a parental consent document, the Wonder Home Apartments Reception Staff is entitled to ask for the telephone number of the parents/guardians in order to confirm by phone that the child's stay in the facility with an adult stranger is with their knowledge and consent.
- In the event of resistance on the part of the main Booking Guest or an adult staying with him/her to present the child's document or indicate the relationship, the Reception Staff of Wonder Home Apartments is obliged to explain that the procedure is aimed at ensuring the safety of children using Wonder Home Apartments and has been developed in consultation with non-governmental organizations operating in this field, and moreover, that failure to comply with the regulations results in high fines and may lead to situations that threaten the safety of children.
- The Wonder Home Apartments Reception Staff always expresses gratitude to Guests for positively explaining all the circumstances related to the child's stay and for the time they devoted to completing the information procedure confirming that the child is under good care.
- In the event of any doubts regarding the safety of a child, the Reception Staff of the Wonder Home Apartments are authorized to notify the Police. While waiting for the Police to respond, both the child and the adult remain under constant observation of the staff and cannot be left alone.
- If employees of other departments of Wonder Home Apartments, in particular employees of the Quality Department or Technical Service, witness unusual or suspicious situations, they shall immediately notify the Reception Staff of Wonder Home Apartments, who shall perform the activities as in the previous point.
§4. [Procedure in the event of circumstances indicating harm to a child]
- In the event of a reasonable suspicion that a child staying in the facility is being harmed, the Reception Staff of Wonder Home Apartments will immediately notify the Police by calling 112 and describing the circumstances of the incident.
