The House of the Last Laboratory Man, located at ul. Konstytucji 3 Maja 26, is associated with the master of herbal art, Ernst August Zolfel, who died in Karpacz in 1884.
He was the last of 27 herbal masters registered in the Karpacz area at the end of the 18th century. At that time, Karpacz was the capital of the Karkonosze herbal medicine.
