If you are on vacation in Karpacz, plan a trip to the Natural History Museum. The trip will be a good alternative to hiking in the mountains, especially during the holiday season when we have more time for everything.聽
Young people will especially find it useful to learn about the Schaffgotsch family collection. Their origins can be traced back to the end of the 17th century. The foundation was the library founded by Count. Johann Anton Schaffgotsch (1675-1742) and placed it in the new Palace in Sobiesz贸w. Later they were part of Fideikomis Chojnicki. The library collected not only books and documents, but also all kinds of souvenirs. There was also the so-called a cabinet of curiosities that was intended to amaze guests and prove the owner's wide interests.
