We suggest starting the first day from the eastern part of Karpacz and gradually heading towards the center.
Wang Temple This is one of those places that's hard to miss on your first visit to Karpacz. The wooden church was built at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries in the Norwegian town of Vang, and was brought to Karpacz in the 19th century. Today, it's one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

Next to the church is a cemetery where, among others, poet and writer Tadeusz Różewicz is buried. The visit itself takes about an hour, making Wang a good first stop on your itinerary.

From the Wang area it is worth heading towards Wild Waterfall. This is a small but impressive cascade on Łomnica, where you can stop for a moment and take a few photos.
The next point may be the dam on the Łomnica River. It's about 2 km from the Wild Waterfall, and the walk takes you along the Łomnica River. Once there, you can walk along the crest of the dam and then continue on to the center of Karpacz.

After the Wang Temple, the Wild Waterfall and the dam, it is worth heading to the center. Promenade at Konstytucji 3 Maja Street is a good place for a break, lunch, or coffee. Along the way, it's worth paying attention to Conquerors' Footprints Square with footprints of Polish mountaineers. Of course, you'll find souvenir shops, restaurants, and cafes on the promenade, so if after a few hours of walking your legs start to demand a bargain, Karpacz's city center is quite well-equipped for you.

From the promenade, you can continue towards the Toy Museum. Along the way, it's worth noting the old The Court Inn, today known as Bacchus, and The House of the Last Lab Technician, in which it currently operates Living Museum. These are places that are easy to miss if you're just checking off points on a map.

Day 2. Śnieżka or a quiet trip to the Karkonosze Mountains
On the second day, we leave the center of Karpacz behind and head towards the mountains. If the conditions are good, this is the perfect time to head up Śnieżka. If the weather isn't conducive to a longer hike or you simply don't feel like doing a mountain hike, you can opt for a shorter option with a visit to Samotnia.
snowball At 1,603 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in the Karkonosze and Sudetes Mountains. Several trails of varying difficulty lead from Karpacz to the summit, so it's worth checking the current weather conditions before setting out and choosing a trail that suits your abilities. With good visibility, the panorama from the summit of Śnieżka is truly impressive.
You'll need to dedicate most of the day to reaching the summit. It's the main highlight of your itinerary, rather than something you can throw in between coffee and lunch. It's also worth leaving some time after returning, as a few hours in the mountains can effectively challenge an ambitious plan for the rest of the day.

If Śnieżka is not your goal or you don't feel like taking a whole day trip, a trip to Lonely. The shelter is located on Mały Staw Lake and is one of the most characteristic places in the Karkonosze Mountains. This is an option for those who want to feel the call of adventure, but not necessarily conquer the highest peak in the Sudetes. The route is shorter, and along the way you can also visit Academic Thatch. Before heading out, it's worth checking the current trail conditions. The weather in the Karkonosze Mountains can change quickly, and some sections of the trails may be temporarily inaccessible.
