Julia Crystal Glassworks in Piechowice – one of the few existing crystal glass producers in Poland, maintaining the old traditions of the region, producing hand-formed and polished products.
Visitors can see with their own eyes the process of crystal formation.
The functioning Julia Crystal Glassworks is a unique point on the map of the Karkonosze Mountains - a combination of history, the beauty of glass masterpieces and real craftsmanship.
During a guided tour, guests can see the process of creating glass products, from design on paper through forming the glass mass, decorating and packaging the final product. The combination of traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques allows you to create unique products.
At the Steelworks there is an interactive Krystalium Glass Stories Center, which is a modern form of presenting the history of metallurgy in the region. There you can find answers to questions about glass and glass-making traditions in the Karkonosze Mountains. See a unique school of over 100 glass fish, which is certainly a colorful historical curiosity and a symbol of the design of the Polish People's Republic. Krystalium is also a place full of experiments - at specially prepared stands you can feel like a designer or metallurgist. The interactive center, through learning and fun, allows you to learn about the properties of glass: shine, weight, color and discover the secrets hidden by this unique material.
Huta Julia also offers artistic workshops that will provide a solid dose of craftsmanship for both children and adults: Engraving on glass (from the age of 9), Painting on glass (from the age of 4) and Cutting - color - decor on fabric (from the age of 4 years of age). The works created during the workshops will be a unique souvenir of your visit to Huta Julia.
There are two company stores, the "Kryształowa" cafe and a large, free parking lot for guests.
